Another prayer in the Quran which begins with ‘Rabbana’ or Our Lord.

The Arabic:

2:201

The Meaning:

Sahih International

But among them is he who says, “Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”

Transliteration

Waminhum man yaqoolu rabbana atina fee addunya hasanatan wafee al-akhirati hasanatan waqina AAathaba annar

Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa il lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna la nakunanna minal-khasireen

The meaning:

They said, “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”

Rabbana Faghfirlana Dhunoobana, Wa Kaffir Anna Sayyiaatina, Wa Tawaffana Ma’al Abraar!

 

I’ve been having super-stressful days and there’s nothing like the words of the Quran to soothe me.
