  2. Sorry i’m commenting here for a post that you wrote for dawn named The Halal-Police, but because I had to clarify something, i had no option but to post it here. Here it is:

Assalamu Alaikum, to an extent your concern is right, but if you look at it, don’t you think you’re doing the same thing by labeling them as the Halal-Police or other things, when they label with this and that names?

I mean, you can also think about this, in this way, i.e. maybe because they’re turned to the right-path after being misguided all their life, and now when they’ve tasted the sweetness of it, having some bad experiences with them, they yearn to pass it on to others, the way doesn’t matter, it’s how WE take it. If we take their words to be insulting, they always will be insulting for us, even when they’re in a respectable and cultured way. It’s naturally in the nature of a person to not stand criticism on one’s actions, even if the criticism is positive. It’s how WE take it, is what is important i guess.

They’re new, give them some time to learn the way, because their way reflects that they care for your aakhirah.

As the Prophet Sallallahu Alayihi Wassallam said(interpretation of the meaning): “The Muslim ummah is like one body. If one part feels pain the entire body must feel the pain.”

I apologize, if my words were harsh, but as i’ve myself went through the same process once upon a time, i know how you feel when after being guided you see someone on the wrong way. I apologize on their behalf if they’ve hurt you in any way, their intentions are very right and caring, it’s just that they need to be taught the way to spread the message. 🙂 In fact, you should yourself tell them the way to do it, if you know it better. tell them to be more respectful and cultured, i’m sure they’ll like it.
