And the award goes to…

Awards are fun. They’re also proof that someone’s listening when you’re talking, and that your voice is not getting lost in the wind, and holds its own in the innumerable other voices on the world wide web.

I’m truly grateful to

Silving – Bits of Living, who nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award

Letizia of Dutch goes Italian, for the Kreativ Blogger Award

Anteneh Seifu of Through the Lens for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award.

For the Versatile Blogger Award my nominations are as follows:

Kreativ Blogger Award:

Very Inspiring Blogger Award:

Now that we’re done with the difficult bit – the nominations (I’m sure there are some other simply wonderful blogs I follow that have slipped my mind) but now the seven things I have to tell you about me.

1. I would have loved to be a doctor, but I’m not. I can’t stand to see suffering. More often than not, I collapse into tears myself when I see people in pain. Imagine, a weeping doctor, saying “Sob, sob I’m so sorry this happened..”

2. I love savoury stuff more than sweet. Although dark chocolate is amazing.

3. I’ve been into photography since the film camera days. I only recently took it up again as a hobby.

4. Someday I want to upgrade to a DSLR with a yummy lens.

5. I love to sing. Thankfully the family does not mind.

6. My one dear wish is to be able to fly and soar high and free into the skies like a bird.

7. I’m hopelessly addicted to tea.

That wraps it up guys! Lovely weekend to all!

  1. LOL @ your wish no. 6. We (my significant other and I) used to think we are the only ones who love to fly. We do fly in our dreams, not just flying in a helicopter or a plane but, actually flying like gliding and going to places. So, now I see someone also has a wish to fly.

Here is a joke and part of it is best explained in Urdu so, I will use the Urdu phrases wherever necessary.

There were 2 Pirs and they were also neighbours and they both used to perform miracles, trying to take lead over each other. One day, one of the Pirs came home and his wife told him.

Aap tou baray Mojzay dikhatay hain magar aap ne dekha? Wo parosi Pir aaj Urrr rehay thayy, such mooch Urrr rehay thayy….

    He laughed and said:

    Array baywaqoof, Vo mai thaa………

    She said:

Accha….. Tabhee Ko Mai Kahoon Kay TayRhay, TayRhay Kion Urrr rehay thayy!

The moral of the story is:

Wives never appreciate their husband’s qualities 🙂

So, instead of saying ‘my significant other’, one should say, ‘My Bitter half’ :p

  2. Thanks, I’m glad you find my photo side project interesting. I am having fun doing it, and I appreciate your interest and support.

You should fulfil wish 4 if you can – your photography is already beautiful and I’m sure you would enjoy the creativity which a DSLR can allow! I think that to ‘make’ lovely photos, first of all you need a creative ‘eye’, and you definitely have that.

By the way, I am also with you on things 2, 3 and 5 :).

  3. Congrats on the awards, well deserved! I agree with lightswimming – upgrade if you can. I always enjoy your perspective from your part of the world and thanks for sharing something about yourself 🙂

  4. JazaikALlah hu Khairan! I am honored to receive you ” Very Inspiring Bloggers award” do make this a quarterly event as there are so many good blogs to be acknowledged.
I once got the Butterfly award but in changing my format lost the icon.
Nevertheless it is beautifully “inspiring” to be appreciated.
