There’s place that’s made like a quaint fort or castle from the bygone era, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, with a moat all around it. Is a mall with adjoining hotel.

Beautiful photos. I love the color of the water and I also like old lamp.
Thanks very much and welcome to my blog!
Merhaba!!! Oh this brings back memories! I spent quite a bit of time in Dubai when we were living for two years in Kabul. I can’t begin to tell you just how happy I am to be connected to you! Excellent blog posts – I’m following and will be back to catch up! Greetings from Finland, Sharon
Many thanks Sharon for your wonderful comment. I’m equally delighted to be connected to you. Hope to see you around!
Lovely pictures, I loved visiting Dubai!
Cool! Thanks Londoneya, and welcome to my blog!
Lovely photos. I noticed how green the water was when I was in Dubai, do you know why it’s like that?
Thanks Lorna! Actually it could be the colour of the tiles in the artificial water bodies such as this one that contribute to the sea-green shade? Don’t know for sure.
Ah yes, I didn’t think of that. It is very green.
Nice building! Wish more malls were built to complement traditional architecture!
Yeah I agree. I love the old architecture, it takes you back in history. Thanks for the comment.
Beautiful place and you have captured it great. 🙂
Thank you Nandini!
We visited the souk in Sidon, Lebanon, and it was fascinating. Thank you for this beautiful photo journey!
